Administration
My name is Sara Ryan and I am excited to be your Santa Fe Junior High Principal! I have been working in education since 2000. I taught math for many years before coming to Santa Fe. I was an Assistant Principal at SFJH about ten years ago and I am returning to be able to work more closely with staff and students. I have been working at the district administration level for the past ten years and have missed the students and staff! I graduated from UT Austin and obtained my Masters degree at UHCL. I live in the area and enjoy reading and spending time with my furry kids when I can. I volunteer a lot of my time on the weekends to support a local animal rescue group.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

COMING SOON!
Hi! My name is Kristin Lawrence, and I am the Assistant Principal for alphabet H-O here at Santa Fe Junior High. I am a graduate of Santa Fe ISD, once an Indian, always an Indian! I am married, live in Santa Fe and have two daughters attending Santa Fe ISD. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family.
I have spent the last 12 years in education – serving first as a paraprofessional, then as a Special Education Teacher, and currently as an Administrator over Special Education and the Social Studies Departments. I received an associate degree from College of the Mainland, a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a concentration in Special Education, from Stephen F. Austin State University, and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.
There is a famous quote by George Evans in the world of education ~ “Every child can learn. Just not on the same day or in the same way”. I believe it is our job as educators to teach each student in a way that they can learn to achieve their dreams.
My name is Melissa Ward and I have been in education since 2005. I was a coach and taught English, then moved into a Technology Coaching role before coming to Santa Fe in 2017. I came to Santa Fe as an Assistant Principal at SFJH then transitioned to a district role for PBIS and then on to the Indian Success Academy as the Director for our At-Risk Seniors of not graduating and DAEP campus. I am excited about being back on the Junior High campus to serve our Junior High Students and families. I graduated from Texas A&M University for my undergraduate degree and Stephen F. Austin for my master’s degree. When I am not at school, I am at a football field, volleyball court, or baseball field with my husband/coach Jason and two kids, Madi and Jackson.
