Administration

Sara Ryan Principal

My name is Sara Ryan and I am excited to be your Santa Fe Junior High Principal! I have been working  in education since 2000. I taught math for many years before coming to Santa Fe. I was an Assistant Principal at SFJH about ten years ago and I am returning to be able to work more closely with staff and students. I have been working at the district administration level for the past ten years and have missed the students and staff!  I graduated from UT Austin and obtained my Masters degree at UHCL. I live in the area and enjoy reading and spending time with my furry kids when I can. I volunteer a lot of my time on the weekends to support a local animal rescue group.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Hi!  My name is Ashley Hardage and I am the 8th grade Assistant Principal at Santa Fe Junior High.  I am originally from Texas City and now reside in Santa Fe with my son and our two Boston terriers!  In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.  You can usually find us at a baseball field somewhere!

I am entering my 17th year as an educator and have taught 7th and 8th grade science, junior high and high school dance, and was a high school dance team director for many years.

I received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington.

I am excited to be a part of Santa Fe ISD and Santa Fe Junior High!

Kristen Lawrence Assistant Principal

Hi!  My name is Kristin Lawrence, and I am the Assistant Principal for alphabet H-O here at Santa Fe Junior High.  I am a graduate of Santa Fe ISD, once an Indian, always an Indian!  I am married, live in Santa Fe and have two daughters attending Santa Fe ISD.  I enjoy spending time with my friends and family.

I have spent the last 12 years in education – serving first as a paraprofessional, then as a Special Education Teacher, and currently as an Administrator over Special Education and the Social Studies Departments.  I received an associate degree from College of the Mainland, a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a concentration in Special Education, from Stephen F. Austin State University, and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.

There is a famous quote by George Evans in the world of education ~ “Every child can learn.  Just not on the same day or in the same way”.  I believe it is our job as educators to teach each student in a way that they can learn to achieve their dreams.
